Beach House is a substantial detached Victorian House overlooking the sea on the coast road running through Mundesley, North Norfolk. We are five minutes from the centre of the village (see the ‘Mundesley and the local area’ page for more detail.)
On the ground floor is a main entrance hall with original quarry tiled floor. On the right is the very large 60sq. ft. kitchen diner. You will find all the usual appliances you would expect in a self catering holiday home; fridge freezer, range cooker, washing machine, dishwasher. You will also find a more unusual feature— a stunning original Victorian range. Don’t worry, it isn’t in use so you won’t spend you entire holiday cleaning out the coal like the Victorian kitchen maids! The kitchen is ‘shaker’ style. The table can seat 14, and because it is such a social area, a sofa and TV with DVD player and Playstation 2 with some family orientated games.
The large sitting room is off the entrance hall too. It has two beautiful fireplaces, one with a woodburner and one with an open fire, three large sofas and a chair, and a spectacular sea view. There is a 32inch flat screen plasma TV with full Sky television package including film channels and sports channels and a DVD player and selection of family DVDs to keep everyone happy. From the sitting room you can get out to the garden at the back through the French doors.
The pretty cottage style garden has tables, chairs and umbrellas, a BBQ and deck chairs. There is an outhouse with a tumble dryer and fridge and also a selection of beach items—cricket set, buckets and spades, kites etc. In the garden there is also a 12 foot trampoline with safety guard and a children’s slide.
On the first floor are three bedrooms, two with sea views. All the bedroom floors are stripped and varnished, with pretty rugs. There are two lovely bathrooms on this floor, one with a roll top bath and shower and the other bathroom with shower and corner bath.
Go up to the next floor and you’ll find a further four bedrooms and a small bathroom.
There are two super-king size beds, one king and one double bed and three twin rooms.
We supply crisp white cotton bed linen and plenty of white bath towels for the house free of charge, but please bring your own beach towels.
The house is perfect for families with small children. We provide stair gates, one high chair, one cot, fire guards, a baby listening device and some children’s toys and books. The garden is safe for children and well behaved dogs too.
