The Ship (Mundesley)

Very conveniently situated opposite Beach House, The Ship serves very nice pub food with a mediterranean twist. Pizzas can be made from fresh to takeaway. Fresh fish is available when the local catch is good! The sea view pub garden is a lovely place for a drink or an alfresco dinner. Families with small children and dogs are welcomed and play equipment is available to keep the kids entertained whilst awaiting dinner. Highly recommended.

The Herb Garden, (Cromer)

We went for lunch recently and they couldn’t have been more accommodating, even though we brought two pushchairs with us! Lovely contemporary interior, wonderful fresh menu, great 80’s music in the background! Go there for something special in the evening without the kids, or during the day with the kids for a spoil-yourself lunch. Very nice indeed!

La Griglia (Cromer)

Really lovely Italian restaurant, lovely interior, very nice staff, we didn’t take the kids but they assured us they would be welcome, no kids menu but smaller portions of the grown up menu (which we really like). Very well worth a visit. And very delicious food indeed.

The Tapas Garden (Sheringham)

Bit quirky this recommendation, during the summer months on Friday and Saturday nights only, the back garden of Browns café on the High Street in Sheringham is transformed into ‘little Spain’  with candles, traditional Spanish music, Sangria and really nice tapas. If the weather is hot, it is a really fun way to spend the evening!

Dales Country House Hotel (Sheringham)

AA Rosette winning restaurant, and if you want to take the kids and don’t want to sit inside with them in the hushed restaurant you can take your table outside to the beautiful gardens where the kids can run around, play tennis and kick a ball around whilst you relax with a drink and wait for your food to turn up! Bliss!!
